Would you like to be a mentor. Join the group. Ask a member if she is interested in becoming a mentor, or if she would like a mentor. Again, this is mentoring online. We need positive role models for our sisters.
This group was created to be an online support for women of color who has been involved or know someone who has been involved in an abusive relationship. Assist your mentee with contact information, resources, legal information, guidance, prayer and a listening ear. Communicate through private messages via this site. If comfortable, eventually exchange email addresses. Be safe, honest, caring and professional. Of course this is at your own risk, for we do not screen the mentors. It is up to you to feel them out, feel comfortable and your decision to become connected personally, or just via this site. Please know that although the primary reason for starting the group is for women of color, we do not and will not discriminate against other women, or men.
