id="MainContent_PositionSummary"><br><br><p>Under the direction of the Kane Community Living Centers Administrator, the Environmental Service Manager directs and supervises the activities of the maintenance operations within the Kane Community Living Centers. Work is performed in accordance with Federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing long-term care facilities, and assures that the facility operates in a clean, safe and secure manner.   </p></span> <br> <br> <span id="MainContent_bold12" class="font-weight-bold">Overview: </span> <span id="MainContent_Overview"><br><br></span> <br> <span id="bold5" class="font-weight-bold">Duties: </span> <span id="MainContent_Duties"><br><br><ul><li>Plans, organizes, schedules, monitors, and directs the operational functions of the Environmental Service department for the Center.</li><li>Oversees all building and grounds maintenance operations.</li><li>Coordinates with all department supervisors to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe, secure, and comfortable manner.</li><li>Interacts with other managers of environmental services to resolve problems and assure commonality of operations throughout the Kane Community Living Centers.</li><li>Meets with department managers regularly to review operations and address their concerns.</li><li>Plans, develops, and oversees the Center’s preventive maintenance program for efficiency of operations.</li><li>Plans, implements, and oversees policies and procedures.</li><li>Directs the activities of the maintenance operations at one of the regional centers, prioritizes work worders, and monitors progress of work assignments and the completion of assigned projects or work activities. </li><li>Oversees and reviews purchase orders, service and contract requests, and forwards to the administrator for approval. </li><li>Provides direction in developing daily work and vacation schedules.</li><li>Monitors all on-site maintenance projects and makes recommendations to the Community Living Center Administrator on project delays.</li><li>Assures appropriate training is provided to employees within the department supervised to assure a safe working environment. </li><li>Prepares, reviews, and provides feedback on performance evaluations for department employees in accordance with established policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitors maintenance practices at the regional center to ensure that work is done safely and efficiently. </li><li>Coordinates vendor activity of all departments supervised.</li><li>Maintains and provides testing documentation mandated by federal, state, and local governing agencies, such as sprinkler systems, fire alarm system, or generator.</li><li>Performs additional duties as assigned or directed by the Kane Community Living Center Administrator. </li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold6" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </span> <span id="MainContent_KSA"><br><br></span> <span id="bold7" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge of: </span> <span id="MainContent_Knowledgeof"><br><br><ul><li>Maintenance practices, and procedures in a long-term care facility</li><li>Supervisory principles and practices </li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold9" class="font-weight-bold">Skill in: </span> <span id="MainContent_Skills"><br><br></span> employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public</li><li>Make independent decisions and follow instructions</li><li>Lead and work harmoniously with other managers, supervisors, subordinates, and other employees</li><li>Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of maintenance.</li><li>Monitor through regular inspection the status of maintenance at the regional center, and the proper performance of assigned duties.</li><li>Review program operations and activities and develop suggestions and
