Job Description
AbbVie is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager to lead patient-facing digital initiatives for our international Affiliates, including myAbbVieCare (AbbVies template for patient facing websites for patients enrolled in the AbbVie Care Patient Support Programs), AbbVie Care Connect (AbbVies secure referral portal for healthcare providers to refer their patients to AbbVie Care), and our strategic approach for digital-first, patient interactions via the Patient Automated Care Experience (PACE) framework. This role plays a critical part in shaping the digital patient experience strategy across AbbVies international therapeutics portfolio, including Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience and Specialty. As part of the International Exceptional Patient Experience team, you will collaborate across international and local Affiliate teams to design, deploy, and enhance scalable digital initiatives that elevate how patients engage with their care and their AbbVie treatment plan that has been prescribed to them. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the business owner for myAbbVie Care, AbbVies template for patient facing websites for patients enrolled in AbbVie Care Patient Support Programs used across International Affiliates. Currently myAbbVie Care is available across over 20 patient-facing applications and portals, including platforms classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
- Oversee the localization and activation of digital patient initiatives in international markets, working closely with affiliates and AbbVies Business Technology Solutions (BTS) teams to align on technical scope, legal/compliance and regulatory requirements, and drive launch readiness. Your strategic oversight enables each country to implement best-in-class patient solutions tailored to their specific needs and regulatory environments.
- Drive global expansion through a structured activation framework, developed in partnership with BTS team, ensuring consistent governance and operational excellence along the way.
- As a key liaison with International Medical, Legal, OEC and Regulatory Affairs (MLOR), ensure all digital patient solutions remain up to date with brand label updates and international compliance standards.
- CoCreate with affiliate Patient Experience Leads through monthly product advisory boards to gather real-world feedback, drive product enhancements, and guide the evolution of digital programs based on actionable patient insights.
- Serve as the Business Owner for the PACE framework - an omnichannel automation of patient interactions. Lead the program from discovery through execution, developing its blueprint, cross-market playbook, and strategic roadmap to expand into new geographies.
- Serve as the Business Owner for AbbVie Care Connect, a global healthcare provider portal. Lead the solutions discovery phase, collaborate with cross-functional teams on UX/UI design, and work with affiliate markets to define use cases and localization plans. Design the long-term roadmap for Wave 2 expansion, scheduled for 2026.
- Leveraging available data from live platforms, establish and report to business leadership, a digital maturity and impact framework to evaluate the performance of the ecosystem and support data-driven improvements in partnership with product and affiliate teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with procurement policies. Oversee contracting, budget forecasting, and delivery timelines, while driving operational efficiencies through automation and localization optimization, ultimately reducing time-to-market and generating cost savings across regions.
Qualifications
- We are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree in Digital Health, Life Sciences, or related Business field, a masters degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in digital health, or significant Affiliate or global PSP patient facing operations.
- A strong track record in digital program delivery is essential, along with expertise in regulatory compliance, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor management.
- Strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, and strong execution capabilities are critical for success in this role.
