The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offers of employment.</p></span> </div> <br> <span id="bold4" class=" font-weight-bold">Position Summary: </span> <span id="MainContent_PositionSummary"><br><br><p>Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that Kane Community Living Centers are compliant with federal, state, and local statutes and regulations. This position serves as the foundation for all compliance activities and is responsible for the development and implementation of an effective compliance program. </p></span> <br> <br> <span id="MainContent_bold12" class="font-weight-bold">Overview: </span> <span id="MainContent_Overview"><br><br></span> <br> <span id="bold5" class="font-weight-bold">Duties: </span> <span id="MainContent_Duties"><br><br><ul><li>Develops and implements policies and standard operating procedures to ensure an effective compliance program, privacy program, and code of conduct throughout the organization.</li><li>Reports on a regular basis to the governing body, Executive Director, and Compliance Committee on the status of current compliance programs and the facility’s vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste.</li><li>Creates an annual compliance work plan and implements ad hoc projects identified in the annual compliance work plan.</li><li>Investigates alleged corporate compliance violations and assists in the development and implementation of corrective action plans with the assistance of Legal Counsel. </li><li>Collaborates with various departments to prepare for government inspections, implements corrective action plans, and complies with audit work plans.</li><li>Audits and surveys records to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability. </li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Meets with federal, state, and local officials to validate corporate compliance program.</span></li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Maintains local manuals and policy directives that govern compliance programs, such as the CMS and HIPAA program manuals. </span></li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Develops, facilitates, and participates in multifaceted training programs and informational sessions with families, independent contractors, and the public regarding compliance programs and initiatives. </span></li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure that appropriate reviews are conducted as required by federal and state law.</span></li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Oversees and manages the Medical Records department; supervises one direct report. </span></li><li><span style="color: windowtext;">Functions as the HIPAA Privacy Officer for Kane Community Living Centers and participates in various regional center committees.</span></li><li>Performs other duties as requested or required.</li></ul><p> </p></span> <br> <span id="bold6" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </span> <span id="MainContent_KSA"><br><br></span> <span id="bold7" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge of: </span> <span id="MainContent_Knowledgeof"><br><br><ul><li>Federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to the operation and administration of long-term care facilities, including the applicable life safety codes. </li><li>Social Security, HIPAA, CMS, Medicaid, and Medicare requirements. </li><li>Principles and practices of supervision.</li><li>Long-term care business processes and systems.  </li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold9" class="font-weight-bold">Skill in: </span> <span id="MainContent_Skills"><br><br><ul><li>Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Electronic health records </li></ul></span> <br> <span id="bold8" class="font-weight-bold">Ability to: </span> <span id="MainContent_Abilityto"><br><br><ul><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, County officials, residents, their family members, and the general public. </li><li>Plan and implement policies, programs, and procedures related to corporate compliance, privacy, and related areas.</li><li>Investigate compliance issues and work with the residents within a long-term care facility.</li><li>Analyze and interpret federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the operation of long-term care facilities.</li><li>Communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing.</li><li>Manage multiple and competing priorities and projects. </li></ul><p> </p></span> <br> <span id="bold10" class="font-weight-bold">Residency: </span> <span id="MainContent_Residency">Allegheny County within 1 year.</span> <br> <span id="bold11" class=" font-weight-bold">Veterans' Preference: </span> <span id="MainContent_VeteransPreference">Will be awarded to eligible candidates.</span> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - M/F/V/D </div> <br> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold2" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> <a href="https://apps.alleghenycounty.us/HRJobApplication/firstpage.aspx?id=0596" id="MainContent_Applyonline">Apply Online</a> </div> </div> <br> <br> <br> </div>
