Being comfortable with yourself and uninhibited--can you imagine the doors of opportunity you will open. (1111 hits)

I sent this blog title as a message to someone else on this site. After sending it I realized it would make a decent blog.
So many of us are afraid to live, be happy and just enjoy life. We are rigid with our rules. I am talking about simple household rules (i.e. take your shoes off when entering, no eating in the bedroom, use the coaster, clothes MUST be washed on Wednesday, save on energy,etc.). You know it is a problem when you wakeup and is already in a sour mood. Shouldn't the first thought on your mind be, wow, what a blessing, I am still here, thank God for another day. Not, oh my, morning already, I have so much to do, I am so tired, I am so stressed, I hope she/he, nor the kids are not up yet. How the hay can you wakeup with a negative attitude. As the preacher always says on Sunday morning, there are many who did not wakeup this morning, thank God for this day.

I thank God for this day, I thank God for my life, I thank God for all of his blessings and lessons.

Take a chance. Step out on faith. Do something different, or try something new today. As long as you are not hurting yourself, or anyone else, why not do it! Be positive, be thankful, beleive in God and in yourself, be good to yourself.

Just me, plain, simple and to the point.

This blog hit close to home for me. I have recently completed my MBA and life for the last several years has been so busy that I never had time to appreciate life. There were so many responsibilities fighting for the number one spot, I am the mother of 1st grader and loving partner to my fiancee, a full time employee in corporate America at a demanding company, and was a part-time student. I was constantly trying to be the best at everything and wearing myself out in the process. Torward the end of my MBA program I was so burnt out that I couldn't find anything to be happy about.

I realized that at some point I had lost my connection with God, I wasn't attending church or even praying because I didn't feel I had the time or energy. I couldn't believe that I had allowed my life to get too full for God!! I immediately changed my schedule to allow my self time for prayer and meditation. My stress level decreased as I started putting my problems and worries in God's hands.
