Let's not judge a book by it's cover... (720 hits)

I've found that in my 30 some odd years of living that people are extremely quick to judge.
Don't get me wrong people are well within their rights to do so, but in being so quick to judge another, saying what you will or won't do or even comparing your situation to another persons is unfair.

You never know what you'll do in a situation until you're in it, as much as we all would like to think that we would handle things perfectly or we will have all the answers... the truth of the matter is we really don't how the events will unravel.
No two people are the same in all aspects. Sure you may have similar likes, dislikes, thoughts and feelings but each person is an individual and reacts differently to certain situations.

I think sometimes we look at a persons life pinpointing things that aren't healthy deciding that they don't want anything from life or that they are too far gone for change...
which isn't always true.

I'm sure we all know someone who constantly does things or makes decisions we see as self-destructive then when the outcome is painful they wonder why.

For today let's give those people the benefit of doubt...
Remembering that no one ever knows just what a person has been through and the state of mind they're in to make them choose the path they take. Life has a way of taking a toll on a person and some are not as strong as others mentally so try to help them grow.
Every small step leads to giant steps towards change.

Great share sis...I posted a commentary several blogs ago titled "Are your words encouraging? *the power of words* "

We have to be mindful of how we project ourselves to others. Not any of us are in a position to judge anyone else. For none are perfct. Karma is inevitablle!

Keep spreading your light dear.

Hey Lisa,
Glad you see my point. I've learned if you're not saying to lift up someone it's best to say nothing at all.

Bren... I'll have to go check that post out.
Words hit hard as a fist maybe even harder it's like a double edged sword. I try to remember all the time to be a light to others. I'm not perfect just perfectly imperfect me.

Thanks sistas.. Preciate cha!!!
